Grudge List
Here is my list of vendors, suppliers and others who have demonstrated gross ineptitude in either the quality of the manufactured product or their inability to provide any level of service.
Bad Quality
Poulen Pro. I bought a leaf blower for a pretty penny. Not that it ever started well, but in less than a year it barely ran, in spite of maintenance. Best of all, no one in town will even touch it for repairs. I put it in the trashcan and bought a Stihl.
SBC Phone Company. These guys schedule a strike at the height of tornado activity. Evil geniuses. I didn't know monopolies/utilities could strike. They then schedule a phone repair for seven days in the future so their stats don't look bad. And out here in this neighborhood, 26.4 dialup speed. The phone company guarantees 14.4... Don't wear yourself out upholding THAT lofty standard, phone people.
General Motors Chevy Lumina Euro. Head gasket, trunk leak, trip odometer, all 4 rotors, 4 ECM modules, radio/tape, door handles, rear ashtrays and much, much more
Commkey.net. Unable to send email to wpafb.af.mil. They claim it's an AF problem, but they have no idea what is going on.
MCI Worldcom and Worldcom Wireless. Really bad phone
Alesis ADAT XT20. Transports and head mechanism unreliable
SAMSUNG. Simply the WORST flat screen product ever in terms of quality. I'm on my third replacement in less than two years.
Bad Service
Poulen Pro. The same leaf blower had an 800 number to call if there were problems. Calling the 800-support number directed me to the web to download manuals or check out other models. Sorry, no people to complain to. If I made a product like this, I'd advise folks to replace instead of repair, too!
Commkey.net. unable to cancel an account or stop charging a credit card after written notice and unable to issue credit card credit
MCI Worldcom and Worldcom Wireless. Completely unrepentant that phone service is unavailable or just doesn't work. I guess that one got settled by the invisible hand of the market.
Voss Chevrolet. Misstated price intentionally
Home Depot. No product on hand or can't complete sale. It happens every time I go in there.
Toyota Financial Services. 5 attempts to set up autopay.
Chase credit card. I can't set up to pay the full amount from my checking account each month. This sounds like a total setup to pay a fixed amount and generate interest charges.
SAMSUNG. Simply the WORST customer service experience I'VE EVER HAD. It was traumatic. They're flat-out LIARS. Incompetent LIARS. If the building was empty, service couldn't be worse. But then it might be honest...
